Wo0oW~! It has been a loooong two weeks or so since I’ve updated. Unfortunately I’ve also forgotten much of what has happened during the past two weeks. I should propose an event log of what I do on days that something interesting happens…. to myself. But let me try to the best of my ability to retrace the happenings of the past two weeks.

Ok, since the details are really foggy in my memory (as always), I’m going to do a speed-run of whatever I can actually remember. The first two weeks of school wasn’t too bad, though some classes are a bit impractical. Such as my English and Statistics class, sighs.

Let’s start off with English, this is gonna be good. So my professor is this frail looking old white lady, and to my not so much surprise, more than half the class consists of minorities. What I just can’t stand about the class it not the professor and her teaching, but the half-brained students who think they’re so fucking smart and that they know better than what the professor is teaching. No matter what comes out of the professor’s mouth there is always one student either complaining or going head on and argue with the professor and saying that they don’t think it’s correct. Just like the other day when the professor was explaining what and how a “Thesis Statement” should be written for example “Extraterrestrials on Campus is a pointless, tasteless, film with a predictable plot and outmoded cinematic techniques.” notExtraterrestrials on Campus is a bad film.”, so then this bitch says something like “But what if I write it Extraterrestrials on Campus is a bad film, because I will explain it later on in the essay.”. I just had the sudden desire to slam her head onto the desk repeatedly, unfortunately I couldn’t for obvious reasons. Another similar event occurred a few days ago when the professor was telling the class to read the NYTimes before we meet in class each week, so a couple of students disapprove of the professor new requirement for the class, and a couple of students seeks to initiate another unnecessary argument. This one girl was saying how the work is so much like High School, but the professor disagrees and says this is college not High School anymore, yet the girl persists to reinforce her statement by repeatedly saying it is like High School (Yes, this is how they argue, I have no idea why). Well, I already caught sight of the professor’s limits reaching to an end and she finally replied with a finishing blow and said “If you’ve done better in High School then maybe you could be at a better college right now.”, and right then in my head I was like “OOOOOWWWWNNNNNNEEEEEDDDDD BITCH!!!“, in fact the whole class was going “OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!”, haha good times. With the girl’s last attempt at a comeback she counters with “Well maybe you should be a better professor!”. Seriously, if she thinks she can do a much better job than what these professors/teachers are paid to do then why isn’t she up in front of the class teaching instead? I really feel so much pity for these foolish minorities that doesn’t fully grasp the concept that college is a whole different story from High School. I’m not trying to spread a racist atmosphere here, but when you observe these people all your life you sooner or later learn what is to be expected from certain type of people. Think about it.

Oh and after the class on Friday the professor came up to me and asked me if I was ok, I lol’d in my head. I was like why would you ask that? Then she told me “You looked a bit frazzled in class”, I explained to her that I only had that look cause I couldn’t understand why the people in the class had to complain about the most senseless and irrelevant subjects during class. She agreed with me that she doesn’t know why the students were so, and I quote “resistant”. Well with that small conversation said an done she thanked me for my positive input and left. I swear it’s either they drop the class or I drop it.

Statistics, this is another story but reversed from the English class. Instead of having a problem with the students it is the professor this time. I don’t know what’s wrong with him but something is. First of all he has an accent that I can’t understand because when he says “class” or “gap” it’s basically the same pronunciation coming from him. Secondly, he loves to make stupid jokes that would be referred into a sexual category. Such as whenever the number 69 would come up he would be like “And here comes my favorite number 69!”, or when he would make jokes that he would only give extra credit to the pretty girls in the class and could care less about the ugly people. Ok, I know he’s just joking around, but if someone takes the remarks made in the wrong way he is gonna be in really deep doo-doo. I’m just waiting for that one day when he goes a bit too far with the jokes and somebody is gonna be the first to say it was inappropriate. *sits with an uncaring face*

Okie, so besides all the controversial issues that’s revolved around my class I also met some new friends in class. In Chinese I met Kalila, she’s a pretty cool Asian girl who basically grew up with the same lifestyle here. In English I met this Spanish girl named Gleydis or something (I forgot her name, lol), she seems to not be from this country but she’s a nice person as well. In Sociology I met Nicole, she is also a Spanish girl as well but more ghetto? Lol, she made me draw on my notebook with her silver sharpie pen, I kinda like that pen now cause the ink is so sparkly. Well, with all that said I suppose that’s the end of what happened during class time for now.

Oh right, last Saturday I went to Galaxy with Reign and some of his friends. Never again shall I step foot in there, it’s all smokey and stinky and hardly have any updated songs. The newest one was probably Umbrella by Rihanna. Well that day ended quickly.

Skipping right on to Chinese New Year and the day after, I had class on New Years day but got out early and got back to Chinatown to watch some performances and lion dance. Although this year’s CNY isn’t anything spectacular it was still ok, there’s always the next year. Met up with Vanessa and her mom, proceeded to wander around looking for something to do and decided to go ITG at CF for a bit. Turns out not too many people come to CF anymore, and all those experts with no lives who used to come in everyday weren’t there as well, Whee~! We were standing there watching some newbies play, it was kinda funny cause on the first round this guy nearly died in 5 seconds, hehe. x3 Then some other dude stepped in and took his spot and saved him, he end up taking up the whole game. Oh wells, it was our turn, gosh I’ve gotten so rusty I could barely play a whole song without gasping for air. Afterwards we then headed to this “Kosher” Vegetarian restaurant across the street from CF. The food turned out to not be as “fabulous” as we expected, but we still shoved it down our throats anyways.

Here are some pictures of how the day went ::

The street merchants selling Chinese New Year goods. I remember the days when I buy like 10 boxes of those popper things and throw them around in my home. (Btw, don’t do it cause it leaves these yellow marks.) In fact Vanessa and I did and we end up throwing them around on the streets, I think some people were staring cause we just stood in the middle of the sidewalk throwing it around. Vanessa threw one up and it bounced off this dude as he passed by, LmFaO~! Good times~ :]

It’s a giant-ish size “Choi Sun”. :O

At the end of the day it’s time to clean up the mess.

On Friday, the day after CNY, we had a date to watch that Chinese Splendor show thinger at Radio City with Vanessa and her mother. We arrived and got on line to get in, then go through a bag check but apparently I had no bag, so whatevers, lol. Turns out there weren’t enough audiences and they had extra tickets for upgrades to a closer seating placement. We got lucky and got upgrades to 1st floor seats instead of 3rd floor and in the back row, Wewt~! Surprisingly nothing this year about CNY was prodigious, the show was ok but nothing that really “WOW’d” me. There was a couple that was sitting behind us and they wouldn’t shut up, I was so close to betch slapping both of them. Oh wells, it was adequate day for me at least.

Lincoln Strikes Again, Long Hair Be Gone, and There’s Always A First~

•January 27, 2008 • 2 Comments

It seems that my frequent updates occurs mostly about once a week or so, I guess I’ll keep it at that till I find more time and effort to apprise of my everyday happenings. Hmm, Okie… starting back on Wednesday, my Mother brought me to this Chinese doctor that we use to go to when I was younger. She wanted to get me fixed health and physical wise, so it was decided to get me some acupuncture sessions as well as pick up some nasty bitter herbal medicine crap-shack. The smell in the shop was like super strong and it’s just kinda intense for my nose as I sat there waiting for my turn to see the doctor. Ohhhh~ I remember when I was little there was a kitty cat named “Mickey” and I loved to play with him while I was waiting to see the doctor. He was so gentle and playful, I miss the fuzzy feline; unfortunately he passed away some number of years ago, probably making over 50 in cat years (not sure)? Well anyways, it was no secret that I dread making a visit to the shop, because the doctor would always call me by any name that wouldn’t be mine. So this time I told me Mother repeatedly that he’s gonna get my name wrong and call me that name again, I walk into his office and he greets me with “Hi, you’re Lincoln right?” (in Chinese), my eyes rolled yet again as I’ve always done every time I hear something that’s either stupid or doesn’t make sense. Moving on, we sat there telling him of my health issues and such and proceeded to start the acupuncture session. Now mind that I’ve only done acupuncture once in my whole life and now is my second time. I had thin needles stuck from the top of my head to my… legs, had to lie down for about 25 minutes or and the points where he stuck the needles were starting to feeling a small amount of pain and pressure. It wasn’t until after he took out the needles I saw all the spots where the needles were had begun to swell a small red dot. I’m like a miniature Jesus~ =O I’m JUST KIDDING! If religious freaks had heard that I’d have a mob of bible huggers on my ass right now. ><”

Well, with the acupuncture business done and over with for the day (I gotta go back next week… sad), on I was to get a haircut next. Wandered around like 3 freaking huge circles till I decided to go to a random barber shop across the street from Grand Street park. Didn’t know what hair styling I wanted so just said to cut the sides and leave my front in an emo-ish slant.

Here’s how it ended up ::

New Haircut Rawrs

BAM~! Crazy huh? Oh wells, I’ll just let it grow out and see how it ends up. Not to mention that I don’t have long hair or highlights anymore. =T

Hmm, skipping onto Friday because nothing else happened in before then. 1/25/08, it is officially my first day of college, whee~! *clapclap* I’m quite fulfilled with the sense of satisfaction that I have finally made it into college, not to mention the first to actually do so in my whole family. :] It took a while and there were many pit stops along the way, but nonetheless one of my first goals has finally been accomplished by at least 1/3 of the way if not whole. Well, from this day on I’m aiming for a better future and potential ambitions. It’s no doubt this is all corny to the core, but without setting an objective, there wouldn’t be any purpose for me to press on further in my current state of existence. It is just so depressing to admit the fact that depression still hits me for whatever god forsaken reason and it can’t be helped that it still dwells in my well-being of a life. But nevertheless I will and must remain as a substantial individual as my willpower can maintain. *grunts*

As far as my classes are concerned, they seem to be going along quite befittingly. Here’s a self-typed display of my schedule ::

And there we have it, my whole schedule for the Spring semester of ’08. I wonder if that’s a lot or little or just average.

After my first day of classes, I met up with Reign and went with him to get him a new pair of hoopy earrings. I have a pair as well but it don’t fit on my lower (1st) piercing so I gotta wait till my 2 weeks are up with my latest piercing then I can try again and stick my hoopys in there and see if it works out. Ate, wandered, and ended back home. Then I got a text from him saying the silver hoopy is defective because the round thing that connects the earring together is bent or something and does not close well, so it was then decided to head back to EC and exchange for another hoopy tomorrow (which is today).

So, today comes and I have an early dentist appointment to fix my *coughretainercough* and ended up getting out of my home at my scheduled time instead of being there, it’s all good since they won’t really say much if I’m late especially early in the morning. Walk, walk, walk, and got there, it was playing A Series Of Unfortunate Events at the clinic and it seems more interesting than I assumed, I just might read the book one day… or just watch the damn movie, Lol. :P My appointment went by pretty quick, in less than an hour which is surprisingly superb since I usually wait at least an hour or two before they call my name wrong and I would have to go up and correct them and bitch some. Went home first before Reign got to Chinatown, I was watching Power Rangers Operation Overdrive, honestly the Sentai version Boukenger was much better. So Reign finally gets to CT and I was able to doze off cause whenever I’m waiting for anything while lying down in bed I’ll get sleepy. ><” I dragged my self about 8 blocks or more to meet up at EC and found him selecting his new hoopy already, so just waited till he was done. We then paced ourselves to SoHo to check out that Japanese store called “Muji” I believe, quite similar to “The Container Store”, so nothing special. Gradually strolling down the streets we hit Yellow Rat Bastard, which I believe is moving it’s location so they’re having a liquidation sale. Got me-self a t-shirt for a souvenir and I think it’s purdy witty funny ish. :D

Ta-Da~! ::

It’s like so true… so true. ;D

Well, the day concluded with more roaming around while looking for a “box” and here I am sitting on my ass typing this long piece of doodoo for the last few hours. Oh, there’s one more amazing discovery I made for the day. I found a Filipino version of “him“, haha he looks so incredibly similar that I’m still in awe over this. Hehe. x3

Till another day Ladies and Germiphobs~!

Decisions, Desperation, Depression, Decisions~

•January 22, 2008 • 1 Comment

Back tracking to… let’s say… Friday, I started my day off heading to my old High School and ended up not to be greeted by a counselor but a nice 2 hour-ish wait. So that’s ok since I had time to spare before I went back to Chinatown and meet up with Ray (but he likes to be called Reign). As patient as I struggled to be, it ended up with me sitting in a classroom watching Brian and some students playing Hacky-Sack while playing some songs from the 60′s to 80′s and such on the sound dock thingy for iPods. It wasn’t too bad, the wait. But at last my counselor finally arrived from an “emergency” she had to take care of (*cough kidaccusedofstealingwalletthatbelongedtoastaffmemberandspendingthemoney cough*). Brian went in first cause he needed a long chat with Ms. Vigilance to discuss his application for an internship that lands him about $17,000 in total if picked. WoW~! So as my main objective to make the trip to Brooklyn and sit there for few hours, I was reading over some scholarship information whilst waiting for Brian to finish up his meeting. I was gonna use the internet and decided to use the Mac computer… my god I hate them. I sat in front of it and had NO idea on what to click or what button even does what. In my sad attempt I just gave up and went to the other room and used the regular computers with Windows on it. *embarrassed* As bored as I was, I decided to just play a game online while waiting since I was already finished reading over the scholarship crap, turns out I couldn’t play FlashFlashRevolution because the damn computer had no volume even though it wasn’t on mute. Gosh~! Well my pathetic attempt in trying to figure out how to turn on some freaking volume came to an end when Brian walked out finally and was my turn to go in and speak with Ms. Vigilance. Blah, blah, blah, lots of talking about scholarships, financial aid, and planning my credits, when to our lovely surprise a security guard came interrupted us because he needed the transcript for the kid who got in trouble earlier. That took up about another glorious 30 minutes or so before Ms. Vigilance wasn’t even able to find the transcript in the end. So he goes “Why don’t you send it to me later, I’ll be at the desk in the lobby.”, I’m like why didn’t you say it earlier and save me half a frawking hour?! Whatever, we finished up with our discussion and finally I was free to go! On my way down I coincidentally bumped into Vanessa and company because I thought she’d be in the train or bus going home or somewhere by now. I already forgot I had an ear piercing but to my attention I was quickly awaken of the fact that I do because she goes “Oh my god! You got your ear pierced!”, so yes I did and there’s actually more to come in a bit. :P After like 5 to 10 minutes of chatting, we walked together to the train station, though she went ahead to take the bus and we said our goodbyes there.

It was a quick train ride back to Chinatown, about 20 minutes to 30 at the most. Got out of the station and called Reign, which he says he was in Daffy’s at SoHo. Making my way there I got lost probably 2 or 3 times in a row. I had no idea Daffy’s was only a right turn away after walking down straight from Grand Street. I passed by the HUGE sign and flag a good few times till I finally spotted it and found him. Waited for him to try on clothes and ended up not buying anything, apparently after too much deep discussion about how cheap the clothes look but they cost about half your limbs it discourages the person to actually make any further purchases. *LoL* And we were then on our way to search for the next thing to do on the agenda, which apparently was to eat at a cheap-ish restaurant that didn’t taste like death. Ate at “Chiu Chao” or however you spell the stupid name. I picked out all the liver from my noodle soup and stuffed them all onto that little tiny plate where you squeeze soy/chili sauce onto, everything fit but the last huge piece of god knows what that was left in my bowl. *Pukes* After late-ish lunch our next location was the jewelry store where I got my first piercing on my bottom left ear lobe, he wanted one too and I thought it might be fun for a second piercing so we went and got our ears skewered, hehe not really.

Here’s a picture of my new piercing, it’s a crescent shaped stud, nothing special and kind of tiny, but it’s still there.

2nd Piercing (1)2nd Piercing (2)

It is always better to not smile, yes yes.

But there you have it that’s the latest piercing I’ve got, and I do plan to get one or “few” more in the future. I really want one on my left cartilage, but hearing from so many people that it HURTS makes my decision a bit skeptical. *SighS* Well, I ended up with a new piercing and Reign ended up with his first piercing and a new hoopy diamond/gold earring (I forget which) for like $88, we could had haggled but probably end up crying.

Preparations of Procrastination~

•January 17, 2008 • Leave a Comment

Nothing “too” new lately, but I have added TWO new pages to my blog site. They are entitled “Facts~” & “MY Quotes~“. Read all about them because they will be updated in the future. Whee~! :]

I was unable to find my list of “Goals to Accomplish”, but I guess I’ll save that for another day.

In other news, I’ve finally decided to activate my debit cards. It was much easier than I thought it would had been. Ended up in a 5 minute phone call that I’ve postpone for about…. 2 to 3 months? Lol, gosh I should win an outstanding achievement award for procrastination, no one out rules me in that area of expertise!

So as eager as I was after activating my debit cards (though hardly has any money in any of them, like $50) I went with my Mommie to test out the card at the Chase bank ATM to check if my PIN number was correct. I dipped my card in the machine and suddenly pulled it out and shoved it back in then pulled it back out and asked does it go in or out. But none of that matters anymore cause I already activated the machine to go into my account information. So my Mommie hands me a 10 dollar bill for me to deposit, I pushed the deposit button and then it makes some weird machine noise and says to deposit my money on the screen. I was nearly freaking out cause I had no idea where to shove the money into, I tried to stick it in the slot where the money comes OUT, then I saw an image on the ATM screen with an envelope sliding into the deposit slot, then I quickly say “Envelope?! Quick get an envelope!”. But my Mommie was like let’s just deposit next time. So as disappointed as I was to attempt my first deposit at an ATM machine, I guess I’ll have to wait till my next chance to do so.

Moving on, we then were on our way to the second bank ATM machine but got sidetracked when I saw this store selling a bunch of Chinese New Year items. There was so many Mickey and Baby Mickey hanging up thingys, and red envelopes, I was like in Mickey heaven and wanted to buy all of them! But I was only allowed to pick a few of the Baby Mickey red envelopes and one of the hanging up thingers. T________T *sniffs* I guess I’ll buy the other ones next time when I past by another day.

Well here they are ::

Mickey Hang Up Thingy 1Mickey Hang Up Thingy 2

Baby Mickey Red Envelopes (A)Baby Mickey Red Envelopes (B)

Baby Mickey Red Envelope 1Baby Mickey Red Envelope 2

Yep, my favorite one is the last Baby Mickey one. It’s so cute. ^^v And yes, I know my finger nail is kinda long because I like to chip them off with my other nails and at the same time reluctant to cut them. But that was how most of my today was spent. But as I got home, a friend of mine showed me some funny t-shirts and accessories.

Lemme display them ::

I really like the BI POLAR t-shirt, it’s clever yet cute but probably wouldn’t look good on me though.

So I guess that’s all for today, I gotta get moving and start cleaning up my room and the bathroom, and the storage(slash)living room, and… well basically the whole damn apartment! Gotta “try” and do all this before my classes start which is in less than two weeks. *secretly cries* ;[ I’m sort of looking forward to starting my classes, especially that Chinese class which I’m dying to figure out what kind of people are gonna be in it. Most of the Asians in my school are FOBs, and I doubt they would need anymore Chinese classes. Oh wells, I just gotta wait and see then. Till another day~!

It is my turn for a new beginning~!

•January 12, 2008 • Leave a Comment

I guess since everyone has already begun their new year, I suppose it is my moment to begin as well. It is 2008 and still fresh for new starts and experiences, and I intend on taking full advantage on that opportunity. I’ve lingered too long in my past moping and pondering why my life has been so cruel up till now, but I’ve realized my short-comings and although my dreadful past will always remain a fact and a part of my life, I will make the best of what there is and pursue a new happiness. It is no lie that my emotions have it’s ups and downs but if I don’t begin creating a new and better perspective on life, I fear I will always be snared by the hands of depression.

I have in my own mind… not really a New Year’s Resolution, but more of a life goals that I wish to accomplish within my time on this planet. It’s quite long of a list so I won’t be posting it right now because I’ve lost it on my AIM profile. But whenever I have the free time I will get it up eventually.

It is a high chance of at least 95% that no one reads this blog, probably the fact that no one knows about it, haha. But yet I persist in writing new entries just for a sort of self-therapy by letting out my own thoughts. But if anyone actually remember about my first two posts, I’ve made the decision to delete them because my past is my own secret and right now I am beginning a new start and do not wish for anymore mention of the abominable past that has tormented me for my whole life up till now (At least the bad details).

And now, I leave my imaginary guests with inspiring yet motivating quotes.

“The secret to a rich life is to have more beginnings than endings.” – Dave Weinbaum

“Small opportunities are often the beginning of great enterprises.” – Demosthenes

“You will never reach your goal until you start to take action, any action.” – Byron Pulsifer, from Take Action; Don’t Procrastinate

“Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is success.” – Henry Ford

Wishing all a happy 2008 and a successful start in your new pursuits~!
